Errr, it's all a little hazey now!
As I told you in my email a while back I was ready for this one and the positive frame of mind must have helped. I started well taking the first few hands with a run of aces which ensured an early chip lead and left me comfortable while the others battled to increase their stacks.
Exocet was late to the table, but sure made up for it when he arrived
Real Deal was first to go, but I don't remember how. Skywalker followed soon after and a side game kicked off.
Back on the main table I was playing a little more cautious, but lost out on a couple of good hands and my stack began to look pretty low again. Not tobe put off I battled on and once again the cards began to come good again. For me it was an evening of good cards and good timing.
Over on the other table no one wanted to lose, so they were still all in when we reached the half way stage. As such we carried on with the blinds getting quite high at this stage.
Eventually there was a merge of tables and and people looked quite worried as the blinds came down. I was first in the big blind with a pair ot trash cards and even with my stack I felt worried and putting that many chips in without a chance of a win!
A combination of high blinds and chip position soon whittled the table down. Poor old Dog and Prof both went out on good cards, but were beaten by better cards.
In the end it came down to The Fish Vs the Boy Plunger. It could have gone to very tight play, but yet more good cards in both hands ensured the betting was fast and furious with The Fish taking a long swim upstream for once! Victory at last. Tomorrow the world
That's about all I can remember mate. A combination of poor memory and one or two extra strong shandies!
Can anyone fill in some blanks?
