16th Braveheart

Antes: double every 45 mins

Well where do you start! A cracking first game of the season with solid performances from both our newcomers Vegas Rhino and The Apprentice aka The Master.

The Braveheart added further fuel to the embers of a "BIG ONE CURSE" by finishing flat bottom last, knocked out by his own nephew.

And the Lawman locks up all the outlaws and hang em high out to dry, in what sounds like a flawless game of taking people out himself. Clearly not one to wait for justice, he dished it out with gusto.

The Real Deal went out early and spent most of the evening in a classy dancing emporium with the Hummingbird. And I quote... "Thanks for a great night, I must go out before 9pm more often".

A couple of Blind Assassins, Joe 90 and Candyman win their qualifier so fast they end up waiting an hour till the final table can be merged. Spent by all accounts drinking and watching exotic pursuits... the perfect preparation and focus for an exit in the final!

And as ever, the Hells Kitchen put in a solid team performance, with the Love Rat and Wall Street putting in solid performances to reach the final.

Finally, I cannot resist mentioning this of course, Five Fingers made a long overdue return to form. Being narrowly shot down by the Lawman, losing pre flop all in AK against A10. The odds of the Lawman winning this hand less than 25%. Thats poker!

I get the feeling that I'm going to hear about that hand for a long time to come!

A great night (as always). Looking forward to next ranking game.

thats a bit weird isnt it, the qualifiers were all sitting next to each other, I wonder what that means? some poker calculator must be able to work it out. what gave the players beside each other the edge?

Third place on each table was also next to qualifiers. There must be 'hot zones' on the tables where the Poker Gods administer their powers...
